Best Nutrition For Baby. Best thing for Mom.

Best Nutrition For Baby.
Best thing for Mom.

I am so honored and excited to announce a few months ago I finished UCSD’s Certified Lactation Educator’s Course with one of the best IBCLC’s in America, Ms. Gini Baker, RN, MPH, IBCLC . If anyone desires to teach breastfeeding classes or is a Health Professional and wants to continue to educate themselves on what is ‘best practice’, I would highly recommend taking Gini Baker’s course. She is funny, witty, charming, and over-the-top educated on how to encourage, educate, & support the breastfeeding mom and new baby. One of my favorite things to talk about with my prenatal clients is breastfeeding. It not only delivers superior benefits to the mother, but it delivers the absolute, optimal, hands-down, best nutrition for the growing human. I say human & not baby because research has shown that breastfeeding & breastmilk are extremly beneficial during infancy AND during toddler years. But I’ll get into more of that on the next blog. Today, I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Gini Baker for being an exceptional leader, educator, and breastfeeding advocate to all the young health professionals out there.

Excited & Grateful,
Katie O’Mara, RD, CLEC
