Healthy, Hearty Chicken Soup
This recipes is economical, healthy, rich, hearty & rich essential vitamins & minerals. This soup is one your family will love for years to come. This is a great soup to offer baby's once they've started solids as the vegetables can be mashed/chopped of into tiny peaces. The chicken then can be processed into a thick puree or chopped depending on the appropriate level of consistency for your baby.

  1. 1. Add the chicken, carrots, celery, potatoes and onion in a large crock pot and cover with water. Put on Medium for about 5-7 hours (depending on the size of your chicken).
  2. 2. When you are ready to eat, take everything out of the pot. Then, strain the broth for small pieces of bone (especially if children are eating it). Pick the meat off of the bones and add to strained broth & vegetables. Season the broth with salt, pepper.
  3. *For baby food: you can puree the meat with some of the broth to create a desired texture. Or, you can chop the meat up into tiny pieces & mix with other chopped up vegetables.
